Family owned and operated, HarvestHome Nutrition began in 2001, helping people with their health through nutrition guidance and Whole Food Supplementation.
Then we began discovering how animals are raised before they are brought to market. What is really in that hamburger we’re eating? We found out that all too often beef producers implant their cows with hormones to speed weight gain; Antibiotics are quickly administered upon the first sign of a runny nose; Overcrowded chickens are medicated to shield against disease. Crops are planted using genetically modified seed and sprayed with weed killers without the plants being affected. Because several of our children have food allergies we were prompted to search for organic or pesticide, hormone & antibiotic free food. We often thought ... “It sure would be neat someday to raise our own food so we really know what we’re eating.”
